The Powergoats Release Music Video for "Cancelled Future"

March 30, 2020

The Powergoats have released the second music video for the recent album Blue Canoe (October 2020). Jamie Douglas chose local youtube star Anndy Negative to shoot and edit the video during the second week of Ontario's provincial restrictions due to the covid-19 virus outbreak. Only Jamie Douglas and Anddy Negative were involved making the video; the two practice safe social distancing during the afternoon shoot that shows Jamie miming the song on what was once the patio of James Street Pub intercut with the singer approaching many shut-down local businesses until he takes an empty subway to the barren streets of The Byward Market. While the track 'Cancelled Future was originally written about letting go of unrequited love, Jamie felt that it was the perfect choice of track to make a video that reflects the loss of normality felt by all in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic.
